John M. Ames
John is the lead pastor of Faith Community Church. He is a graduate of both Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Taylor University. John has experience in community development and church planting. He has interned for the Emmanuel Gospel Center and has been a part of different city ministry initiatives in Boston. Additionally, John has received training in interactive leadership and at-risk youth services.
John grew up in Cote D'Ivoire (West Africa) as the son of missionaries and feels at home in multicultural contexts. He is an avid soccer fan and enjoys live music. John is married to the love of his life, Jenny and they have a six year old son named Micah and a two year old baby girl named Mikayla.
Bill is originally from Maryland. He is a graduate of Washington Bible College and Capital Seminary. Bill has decades of ministry experience, including working at The Providence Rescue Mission. Bill previously served at Faith and Hope Baptist Church in a variety of pastoral and teaching roles. He is a gifted preacher and teacher and leads the church's URBACAD program.
Bill lives in the West End. He is married to Linda and they have two adult children; William and Abigail.
Joe is from East Greenwich, Rhode Island and has a passion for Jesus. He is a graduate of Community College of Rhode Island, where he helped to lead a campus Bible study for students. Joe previously served in the West End through a connection to the Summer OFF parks program, which is where he got connected to the church. Joe has served in youth and young adult ministry for over a year at FCC and occasionally preaches.
Joe is serving as a pastoral assistant, where he is learning about the calling to pastor and regularly comes alongside the elders to assist them in their roles and learn from them in the process. As part of his responsibilities, Joe continues to work with the youth at the church.
Children's Ministry Coordinator
Abbey grew up in the West End and has a love for seeing the seeds of the Gospel planted in the youth and children of the church. She has served in numerous children's and youth programs. In years past, Abbey has been a camp counselor at Camp Cedarwood in Barrington and has regurlarly assisted in running Vacation Bible School.
Abbey lives in the West End and serves our church in a number of ways. Her focus in ministry is the children's ministry and the youth ministry.
